CTBC’s Global Investment Committee comprehensively reviews economic and market conditions on a regular basis. We engage in a robust and interactive dialogue based around value and how key developments may impact the prices of major asset classes, foreign exchange, and country level indices. The objective of the Committee is to establish, agree and confirm our house views and then to implement them into our portfolios by adjusting the desired weightings of different asset classes.

When views change from previous allocation decisions, the GIC adjusts the weights of the different asset classes in the Model Portfolios to reflect the updated Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) view. The aim of TAA is to enhance overall performance, keeping portfolios on their efficient frontier and acting when opportunities present themselves rather than passively following a static Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) strategy.
